Here's exactly what working together looks like.
Every step, written out clearly — so you know what to expect, what you're getting, and what happens when.
Five stages from first call to ranking movement.
Free 15-Minute Google Presence Review
You book a call through my calendar. On the call, I pull up your Google Business Profile and website live — no slides, no deck. I walk through what's strong, what's hurting you, and three things you could fix today for free. You leave with actionable feedback even if you never hire me.
You'll leave with real, usable feedback — whether or not we end up working together.
Proposal Within 2 Hours
If the call goes well and you're interested, I write a one-page personalized proposal the same day — usually within two hours of hanging up. It's specific to your business, your competitors, and your goals. You review it, ask questions, and sign via Google Docs. First invoice is sent via Stripe for secure online payment.
Proposals are one page. No 40-page documents designed to impress rather than inform.
Onboarding & Week 1 Quick Wins
You fill out a short intake form giving me access, goals, and competitor info. I immediately run a full technical SEO audit (Screaming Frog + Google Search Console) and do a complete GBP optimization — photos, categories, services, attributes, Q&A. You get a written audit report by end of week 1. Most clients see GBP improvements within 48 hours of onboarding.
Week 1 always produces visible improvements — you'll see things moving before the first month is even done.
Monthly Delivery (Months 1–3)
Every month I deliver on the package you signed up for: GBP posts, citation building, on-page fixes, content strategy, and where applicable, blog posts and review campaigns via GoHighLevel. This is systematic, scheduled work — not "as time allows." You'll know exactly what's happening each month before I do it.
You get a monthly task summary before the work starts, not after. No surprises.
Monthly Reporting & Strategy Refinement
By the 5th of every month you receive a plain-English report showing keyword rankings, organic traffic, GBP views and call clicks, and a clear "what moved, why, and what's next" summary. No dashboard logins required, no jargon to decode. Growth package clients get a 30-minute strategy call. Authority clients get a Loom video walkthrough on top of that.
Reporting is where most agencies lose clients. We write ours for humans, not for metrics obsessives.
What I need from you — it's less than you think.
Week 1 Intake (30 min)
Fill out a Google Form with your business details, access credentials, top competitors, and 5–10 target keywords. This is the only heavy-lift onboarding task.
Monthly: 10 minutes
Read the monthly report, reply with any feedback, and approve the upcoming month's content plan. That's it. No lengthy review cycles.
Availability for questions
Respond to occasional questions about your services, service areas, or business goals within 48 hours. Good SEO requires real business context.
Good questions we're happy to answer.
How long until I see results?
For Google Business Profile improvements, you'll see changes within the first week. For website rankings, most clients see measurable movement by month 2–3. Significant ranking jumps typically happen between months 3–6. Local SEO is a compounding investment — the longer you're in, the faster it compounds.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. Everything is month-to-month. If you want to pause or stop, you give me notice and we're done — no penalties, no lock-in clauses, no awkward conversations. I earn your retention through results, not paperwork.
Can you guarantee specific rankings or leads?
No — and any agency that promises specific rankings or leads isn't being straight with you. Google controls the rankings. What I can promise is systematic, consistent work done right every single month, and honest communication if something isn't performing the way we expected so we can adjust together.
Do you only work with Portland-area businesses?
No. I'm based in Portland, but local SEO is a remote service. I've worked with service businesses across the country. The strategies are the same whether you're in Portland, Nashville, or Miami.
What makes you different from other agencies?
Three things: we come from the trades, so we actually understand your business. You work with a senior specialist directly — not an account manager or junior staff. And we're honest about what's working and what isn't, even when that conversation is uncomfortable.
What happens to my SEO if I stop working with you?
You keep everything. All content, all GBP improvements, all citations — it's your business's property. Rankings built on good foundations don't disappear overnight. You may see gradual decline over 6–12 months if nothing is maintained, but you won't fall off a cliff the day you stop.
